J. STEVEN ERICKSON

MANAGING ATTORNEY

  • Steve Erickson is the Managing Attorney of the Erickson Law Firm. Mr. Erickson has extensive experience as a litigation attorney. He is licensed to practice law in the states of Missouri and Illinois.
  • Mr. Erickson has tried over 50 jury trials and scores of bench trials. He has presented appellate arguments in the Eastern District of Missouri Court of Appeals, the Missouri Supreme Court, and the US 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.
  • Prior to opening the firm in 1999, Mr. Erickson spent five years as the Managing Attorney for Zurich American Insurance's Saint Louis Legal Office, three years as a Principal with Moser and Marsalek, P.C., five years as an associate with Moser and Marsalek, P.C., and three years as an Assistant Public Defender.
  • Mr. Erickson provides representation and general counsel to businesses including formation, strategic planning, contracts, real estate purchase and sale, leases, and litigation.
  • Mr. Erickson's extensive experience providing representation to insurance companies gives him a unique and in-depth understanding of how claims should be presented to insurance companies

EDUCATION

  • Steve Erickson received his Bachelor Degree in Political Science from Southwest Missouri State in 1977.
  • Mr. Erickson went on to the University of Louisville where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1981.
  • Mr. Erickson also attended the Defense Research Institute's Defense Counsel Trial Academy in 1989.
